2012:  Andie has returned home to finish out her time with her breeder.  She has left us with a lovely doe kid, Arietta.  Arietta will be freshening for the first time this April.

2011: It has been five years since we brought a milking doe into our herd, but due to the severe losses we encountered this year we desperately needed the milk.  We were blessed to have been contacted about "Andie".

"Andie" is a beautiful example of how an older doe should look as she matures. Her production is outstanding with a mammary that is a soft buttery texture that milks down completely.  She is structurally correct with an excellent topline, a flat rump from thurl to thurl, and an excellent set of feet and pasterns for an older doe.

She transitioned well after being sold soon after she kidded this year (2011).  Despite the traveling so soon after kidding and being on a new farm with new routines, she still peaked at 13lbs.  We think this is fabulous considering her age and the transition she had to go through.

We are thrilled to have her join us on our farm.
